Fun Casual Bag Tutorial for Less than $5

A dollar store bag.  Basic. BORRRRINNNGGG!!!

A plastic page protector, plastic lacing, needle, spray glue.

After trimming the page protector, spray one side of it. Be careful of overspray.

Place the sticky side down on the bag. The open/trimmed side should be up so that you can slide photos in like a pocket.

I removed the button but kept it for another project.  The stabbing was for effect only.

With the plastic lacing, I braided a strip and replaced the button catch.

I also wrapped the lacing around the handle.  I liked the look of going only 4.5" up on each one.

With a needle I stitched around the page protector.  I stitched through the plastic and the bag on three sides leaving the top open and only stitching through the bag on the top.  Creating a border.

With a color printer I printed out a couple of fun photos.  Using photo paper gives it a shiny magazine look.

Slide the pic into the plastic pocket and viola.

Change the pic up.

A fun casual bag.
